The National Self Build and Renovation Show 2010

Runs from 26th February 2010 until 28th February 2010

Whether you're interested in building your own home, doing some serious home improvements, renovating an older property to bring it back to life or converting a building to create a stylish new home, this is the Show for you!

Each day we'll have 4 theatres featuring seminars from more than 25 specialists; live demos featuring key product installations; two sets of walking workshops; free appointments with over 20 different experts; over 200 companies showcasing their products in our exhibitor area, and that's not even mentioning our permanent features which range from audio tours to show homes, a builders' merchant area through to the Design Centre, amongst others.

Ecobuild

Runs from 2nd March 2010 until 4th March 2010

Ecobuild is the world's biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment.

Combining an 850 exhibitor-strong product showcase with more than 100 free conference and seminar sessions and dozens of interactive educational attractions, Ecobuild connects formal learning with practical experience, and with products and suppliers.

Short Course: The Whole Home: Ecological Building from New

Runs from 5th March 2010 until 7th March 2010

This introductory course will cover ecological building design and is useful for those who want an overview and an introduction to sustainable building. Topics covered will include low energy consumption, green building technologies, healthier habitats, the use of environmentally friendly building materials and water efficiency, conservation and sanitation.

Learn to build using what mother nature provides, within my own Rammed Earth Eco-Shed on The Norfolk Broads!

This fun and friendly course will be held over two days and will cover all the essential areas of building with rammed earth. We will cover many topics together and you will take away the confidence to go forward and complete a project of your own.

UK AWARE

Runs from 16th April 2010 until 17th April 2010

UK AWARE is the UK's only green and ethical lifestyle exhibition, and will bring together 200 exhibitors, 15,000 visitors, 100 low carbon vehicles and over 50 world class guest speakers.

Exhibitors will be showcasing thousands of products and services ranging from cars to computers, from fashion to food and from travel to advice services.

Introduction to self-building an Earthship

Runs from 17th April 2010 until 18th April 2010

This is a two-day course run at Earthship Brighton in partnership with Brighton Permaculture Trust.

The course is for anyone thinking about building their own home and anyone interested in learning about Earthships. It is suitable for complete beginners, as well as those who are familiar with eco-building and want to know more.

Real Food Festival 2010

All-Energy UK

Runs from 19th May 2010 until 20th May 2010

The All-Energy UK Exhibition and Conference is Europe's largest event devoted to clean and renewable energy.

The show is relevant to companies from both side of the buying/selling fence who are actively involved in the renewable energy industry, and those eager to become involved - or even at the first stage of their research into how they could become involved with this vibrant sunrise industry.

Short Course: Introduction to Organic Gardening (3 days)

Runs from 4th June 2010 until 6th June 2010

Join our gardeners for an inspirational weekend. CAT has over 25 years experience of gardening organically. The course will cover a blend of useful, recreational and ecological gardening with sessions on soil fertility, pest control, compost making, growing vegetables and gardening for wildlife. Suitable for those just starting gardening or converting to organics, this is a relaxed but informative weekend, with (weather permitting) plenty of time spent outside in CAT's beautiful gardens.

Short Course: Hedgerow Herbalist (1 day)

To be held on 26th June 2010

This day course will show scouting for herbs, sustainable harvesting from the wild, fresh use, preping herbs for storage, de-hydrating.

Including teas and decoctions, culinary use of herbs, making a basic infused oil, basic formulae for oil infusions, basic salve/balm, basic massage oil, basic cream, herbal vinegars, herbal syrups, bio-regional ingredients, supporting local economy.
